Kilowatt Amateur Radio Club at the Lamar Annual Fly-In – October 11th

The Kilowatt Amateur Radio Club (K0KWC) is excited to announce that we’ll be participating in the annual Fly-In at the Lamar Municipal Airport on Saturday, October 11th, 2025. This community event brings aviation enthusiasts, families, and curious visitors together—and we’re looking forward to sharing the world of Amateur Radio with everyone who stops by!

Meet & Greet with the Public

This will be a relaxed Meet & Greet opportunity where visitors can learn more about the Kilowatt Club, ham radio, and how local operators serve both hobby and community. Club members will be on hand to answer questions, demonstrate equipment, and show how Amateur Radio connects people across the globe.

Mock FCC Exams

Think you have what it takes to be a ham? We’ll be offering mock FCC exams for anyone brave enough to give it a try! This is a fun, no-pressure way to see how you’d do on the real exam. Who knows—you might surprise yourself and discover you’re ready to become a licensed Amateur Radio operator!

The Ham-Mobile in Action

We’ll also have our famous Ham-Mobile on site, fully equipped for live demonstrations. Visitors can see radio communications in action and get a closer look at how mobile setups make Amateur Radio versatile and practical in the field.

Whether you’re an aviation fan, a tech enthusiast, or just curious about ham radio, stop by our booth at the Lamar Fly-In. We’d love to meet you, share a QSO or two, and show you what Amateur Radio is all about!
